When
the farm was sold to Mr. Jubenville, ten or twelve years ago, it was closed to the public.
The Gieger Farm mentioned above was owned by James Giegler and a son Carl and family lived there and ran the farm.
The old farmhouse is now used by Mr. Masini, the Proud Area Superintendent, as his residence. After the farm was
sold to the Club people, Carl Giegler and family moved to Milwaukee, Wis., where they still reside. The Winterhalter
Farm adjoined the Giegler farm on the south side. This farm was also bought up by the Club people and is also now a
part of the Proud Lake Area. The Winterhalter house and barns were torn down by the conservation Dept. several
years ago.
